BIO

As a former competitive swimmer, Nancy’s fitness foundation has been built on hours in the pool and on land, honing her mental and physical grit and endurance.

This turned into a love for pushing her boundaries, from running and strength training, to yoga and pilates, to boxing. She has spent the past seven years teaching fitness in some of the country’s biggest markets, like NYC, LA, and Boston.

Her capacity to balance growing a full-time marketing career (as well as a high-powered consulting side hustle), her hobbies (she’s written and published two books!), and her passion for fitness (both as an instructor and a student) has inspired countless others.

Nancy is an advocate for mental health, Asian American and female representation in fitness, and personalized wellness — her goal is to ensure that you feel like your best self whenever you leave her class.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED…

I’ve always been interested in athletic performance, physical health, and nutrition. Going through double swim practices a day and juggling AP classes gave me a deep-seated love for productivity tips, and as I dove deep (sorry, bad pun) into the sport, I also realized how important mental health was.

In college, I studied marketing, economics, and psychology… and fought through my own mental health battles as well. It became clear to me that mental health needed to be destigmatized, and the path forward was to speak up about my own experiences. As I wrote and published pieces on mental health and overcoming eating disorders, I found that all of this is connected — the mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional aspects — to create your own version of happiness and fulfillment.

It’s always a work in progress, but my goal is to help empower you to do what you do best — live your life the way you want to.

Whether that’s via any of the content on this blog, any of the freelance services I offer to help you optimize your business and free up time, or one-on-one personal training or group classes, I hope that you find something for you here.

Writing Experience

Fun fact: I got a poem published in the L.A. Times Kids’ Corner when I was 8. While that’s all good and dandy (and still one of my favorite accomplishments to date), here’s some actual experience:

  • Author of 101 Amazing Uses of Cinnamon (pub. Jan 2021 by Familius Publishing).

  • Author of fault lines (pub. 2023 by Bottlecap Press)

  • Cofounder & editor-in-chief at Spoon University Northeastern chapter, managing 30+ writers and photographers to published articles, ranking our chapter in the top 5 in the nation, with over 1 mil pageviews.

  • Guest contributor to various blogs and managing this one.

Nancy comes into each session and each class with a huge smile on her face — you can tell she genuinely wants to be here and cares deeply about us. Not just getting us results (which she definitely does!), but also us as human beings."
